Office Policies
To ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for you and your little one, please take a moment to review our office policies
Appointments
- Please schedule appointments in advance to secure your preferred time. Kids under 18 years old need a parent or legal guardian with them for their first visit. If a guardian can't come with them for future appointments, we need written permission for someone else to bring them.
- If you need to reschedule or cancel, kindly notify us at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel or miss an appointment without giving us at least 24 hours notice, a $50 cancellation fee may apply to your account.
- We'll try to reach out to you by phone, text, or email before your appointment. Please confirm your child's appointment to secure their slot. In case of no confirmation, we might need to cancel the appointment (depending on how busy we are) and give it to another patient.
- Saturday appointments are reserved for routine and preventative care only (cleanings, exams, and x-rays).
Arrival
- We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your child's appointment to complete any necessary paperwork and allow them to get comfortable.
- If you're more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may need to reschedule it.
Parental Involvement
- We encourage parents to accompany their child during their dental visit to provide support and address any questions or concerns. Please be a silent observer, support your child with only touches. This allows us to maintain communication with your child. Children will normally listen to their parents instead of us and may not hear our guidance.
- We're glad to welcome siblings to accompany the patient during routine and preventative care appointments. Please make sure they are supervised during the visit.
- During restorative procedures, only one guardian is permitted in the room, and we kindly ask that no other children be present.
- To improve the chances of your child having a positive experience in our office, we are selective in our use of words. We try to avoid words that scare the child due to previous experiences. These are very important ways that you can actively help in the success of your child’s visit. Our intention is not to “trick” your child, but instead to create a positive and fun experience. We are confident that all will go well and hope these guidelines will help prepare you for the upcoming appointment.
Payment
- We kindly request payment at the time of service. We accept credit/debit cards and insurance plans. We do not accept cash or check payments.
Insurance
- Please provide us with your dental insurance information before your child's appointment, and we'll do our best to maximize your benefits.
- Since insurance policies differ, we can only give you an estimate of your coverage in good faith. We can't guarantee coverage due to the complexity of insurance contracts. Our office may be in-network with some carriers and out-of-network with others. Coverage may change without notice.
Medical History
- It's important for us to have up-to-date medical information about your child. Please inform us of any changes in their health or medications.
Safety Measures
- Your child's safety is our top priority. We adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a sanitized environment.
- All our staff members are trained in CPR and emergency procedures.
Feedback
- We value your feedback! If you have any comments, suggestions, or concerns about your experience with us, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Thank you for choosing our pediatric dental office. We look forward to serving you and your child's dental needs!
